Adoption of environmentally friendly equipment
Yellow Hat has been committed to " respecting the life of materials" since its inception, and incorporates the following into its business activities.
"Do not purchase unnecessary items," "use up what is available until the last minute," "reuse as much as possible," "reduce volume, sort, and recycle to minimize waste," and "be environmentally friendly".
Plastic bags and tire storage bags
In order to preserve a safer and better environment for the future, initiatives to reduce CO2 emissions are needed to prevent global warming. The use of plant-based biomass materials contribute to the reduction of CO2 emissions compared to conventional petroleum-based materials, thereby breaking away from dependence on petroleum and contributing to the prevention of global warming. Biomass materials made from plant-based raw materials absorb CO2 at the plant growth stage, and can be regarded as carbon neutral, meaning zero CO2 emissions, when disposed of and burned. At Yellow Hat, we are gradually switching to materials that contain at least 10% plant-derived biomass material for tire storage bags and at least 30% for plastic shopping bags.
Paper shopping bag
The use of recycled paper promotes the 3Rs (reduce: use materials with care and reduce waste, reuse: use reusable materials multiple times, and recycle: use waste again as a resource), and water-based ink reduces environmental impact by not producing hazardous waste fluid. Yellow Hat's paper shopping bags are made of base paper containing at least 30% recycled paper, printed with water-based ink.
Maintenance File and Manual File
A maintenance file is given to the customer in store to keep a record of the work performed at the completion of maintenance work.The manual file is given to the customer at the time of purchase of a product to save warranty cards, user manuals, and other documents.
We are gradually switching to Eco Mark commercial materials containing 70% recycled polypropylene (PP) to reduce the amount of plastic used by about 60% compared to conventional products. The use of recycled polypropylene reduces CO2 emissions during virgin polypropylene production and contributes to the recycling of resources, thereby reducing environmental impact.
Green Purchasing "TANOME-RU" System
We have customized Otsuka Shokai's "TANOME-RU" system to promote green purchasing by using our own ordering system for office supplies.
